We are looking for civic minded volunteers who want to help make the community a better place to live.

Auxiliary Police Recruits go through a four step training process.

1. Auxiliary Basic Training covering policy, procedures, and equipment
2. Firearms and use of force training
3. Field training with a Regular Officer
4. On the job training for each detail, such as directing traffic

All uniforms, equipment and training are provided by the City of Parma.

Auxiliary Police Officers are required to work a minimum of 135 hours per year, or about 11.5 hours per month. There are set details such as monthly Church Traffic details, and monthly meetings. There are also variable details scheduled as they come up.
